24-year-old man shot and killed on a front porch in East Baltimore, police say

A 24-year-old man was shot and killed on a front porch in East Baltimore on Tuesday and another man was injured in a separate shooting, police said.

Baltimore Police said that around 1:45 p.m. officers were called to the 2000 block of Kennedy Ave. for a ShotSpotter alert.

When officers arrived in the East Baltimore Midway neighborhood, they found a man lying on a front porch suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He died at the scene.

Anyone with information is urged to contact homicide detectives at 410-396-2100.

Hours later, Central District officers were sent to an area hospital for a walk-in shooting victim.

Police said they found a 38-year-old man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the shoulder.

The victim told officers he was shot in the area of Union Square Park.
