26 Chicago stage actors you’ve seen on ‘Fargo’

The latest season of Fox’s “Fargo” takes place in Kansas City in the 1950s, but was filmed in the Chicago area. In addition to spotting familiar places in the city and suburbs, viewers may also recognize some of the actors on “Fargo” from different Chicago theater and comedy shows.

Here are 26 actors you may recognize from some of your favorite Chicago theater shows.

James Vincent Meredith

Meredith is a Chicago native, a longtime Chicago theater and film actor and an ensemble member at Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Recent Chicago theater credits include “Lottery Day” (Goodman Theatre), “Radio Golf” (Court Theatre), “Between Riverside and Crazy,” “The Minutes” (both Steppenwolf), "Roz and Ray” (Victory Gardens Theater) and “Othello” (Chicago Shakespeare Theater).

Andrew Bird

A Chicago native and Grammy nominated multi-instrumentalist singer and songwriter, Bird makes his acting debut on “Fargo.”

Matthew Elam

Recent Chicago theater credits include “Pipeline” (Victory Gardens Theater) and “Hoodoo Love” (Raven Theatre).

Sean Fortunato

J. Nicole Brooks
