Wisconsin state police have identified the pregnant Appleton woman killed Thursday morning in a three-vehicle pileup near Weyauwega in Waupaca County.
Genesis E. Stanton, 26, was killed about 9:30 a.m. Thursday when the Chevrolet Malibu she was driving slammed head-on into a westbound Mini Cooper on U.S. 10 near Reek Road.
Stanton's unborn child also did not survive the crash. Troopers said Stanton was driving eastbound in the road's westbound lanes.
Three South Milwaukee residents in the Mini Cooper escaped serious injury. Driver Lianna E. Kalenuik, 19; passenger Levi Kalenuik, 41, and a 15-year-old passenger suffered injuries troopers said are not life-threatening. They were treated at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah.
After the collision, the Stanton and Kalenuik vehicles struck a westbound 2019 Freightliner semi-trailer operated by Mamuka Dzhaniashvili 43, of Brooklyn, N.Y. Dzhaniashvili was unhurt.
Troopers are continuing their investigation of the crash.
