28-year-old Haverhill man killed in motorcycle crash in Methuen

Police are investigating a fatal crash in Methuen Wednesday night.

Emergency crews responded to a crash around 8:30 p.m. involving a motorcycle and a Jeep Wrangler at the intersection of Lowell and Arnold Streets.

Upon arrival, first responders found a motorcycle operator, a 28-year-old man from Haverhill, had sustained severe injuries.

Police determined that the motorcycle, a 2009 Yamaha, was traveling eastbound on Lowell Street when it collided with a 2021 black Jeep Wrangler that was turning off Lowell Street and onto Arnold Street.

The motorcycle operator was transported to Lawrence General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Jeep, a 59-year-old male from Methuen, remained on the scene after the crash.

The crash is under investigation by Methuen Police, assisted by the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
