HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — Most Central Pennsylvanians know by now that the Harrisburg Mall is closing ahead of its demolition and redevelopment, but is the popular 2nd & Charles store staying or is it going?

Tenants of the Harrisburg Mall were previously told via eviction notices that today, January 31, 2024, was the day that they must vacate the mall before the start of demolition slated to begin in March.

Previously, St. John Properties who are the owners of the Harrisburg Mall, told abc27 news that the only businesses that are staying and will remain operational are the existing Bass Pro Shop and Applebee’s.

However, one more business may be sticking around as well.

According to a manager at the 2nd & Charles, unlike many of their counterparts, the business has not received an eviction notice. Furthermore, the manager shared that they have no plans to vacate, close, or relocate.

abc27 News had also asked St. John Properties for information regarding the future of 2nd & Charles in December 2023, but they declined to comment.

abc27 News reached out to the 2nd & Charles corporate office on multiple occasions but has not heard back at the time of this publication.

abc27 news will keep you updated as more information becomes available.
