2nd Coronavirus Case Identified In Narragansett Police Department

NARRAGANSETT, RI — A second case of coronavirus was found in the Narragansett Police Department, the organization announced Friday. The new case comes less than a week after the first case was confirmed.

According to the department, the second case was one of eight people tested in response to the first case, which was confirmed Sunday. All seven others tested negative.

The case was confirmed Friday, and the person immediately began self-quarantining at home. The Rhode Island Department of Health is working with the department to conduct contact tracing for the case.
