2PM's Taecyeon reveals his parents still 'control' his finances, give him an allowance at age 33

2PM’s Taecyeon, who is set to star in the upcoming OCN mystery thriller “Blind,” revealed that his parents are still very much involved in his finances despite his age and celebrity status.

During an interview with Star1, the 33-year-old revealed some details about his private life – notably his financial affairs – and his upcoming film “Blind.”

My parents control and handle all my finances,” the K-pop star-turned-actor said. He also shared that despite being “35 years old [by Korean reckoning], I still receive an allowance.”

Later this year, Taecyeon, whose full name is Ok Taec-yeon, will play detective Ryu Sung-joon in the OCN mystery thriller “Blind.” The idol described his character as someone who is "faster with his actions than his words."

I’ll be returning with a project that has a serious and heavy vibe, so please look forward to it,” he said.

Taecyeon will be joined by Apink member Eunji, who will play a “generous and open-minded” young social worker. Ha Seok-jin, known for his roles in series such as "The Legendary Witch" and "Crash Landing on You," will also be joining them.

Blind” is set to premiere in June 2022.
