This $3,600-a-month apartment in new downtown Raleigh tower offers skyline views
The highly anticipated 400H mixed-use tower is officially open in downtown Raleigh.
This week’s Price Point features one of its first available luxury apartments up for lease: a two-bedroom, two bathroom apartment listed for $3,603 a month.
Developed by Trammel Crow Co., the 20-story tower is at the intersection of Hillsborough and West streets, offering 242 residential units. (Studios and smaller apartments start at $1,562 month.)
Amenities include a ninth floor “SkyHub” featuring indoor and outdoor space, an elevated pool, fitness and yoga facilities, conference rooms and bike storage. The building also has 150,000 square feet of office space and 16,000 square feet of ground-floor retail.
Paying over $3,600 a month in rent may sound steep, especially in Raleigh where the median rent for a two-bedroom hovers around $1,497. But it’s becoming more common as the number of rich renters soars in the Triangle.
For the same price tag, you could also rent a five-bedroom house in Durham or a five-bedroom townhome in Chapel Hill.
