3 arrested in Polk County after traffic stop leads to discovery of meth

POLK COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said that a traffic stop in the Indian Springs subdivision led to three arrests after they discovered methamphetamine.

According to the Polk County’s Sheriff’s Office, on Tuesday narcotics detectives were conducting traffic stops in the Indian Springs subdivision following numerous complaints from citizens.

Officials said they conducted a stop on a passenger vehicle for an equipment violation and they allegedly located methamphetamine and items consistent with the sale of methamphetamine in the driver’s possession, identified as Glenn Womack Jr., 33 of Houston.

Authorities discovered two passengers who allegedly had methamphetamines consistent with use, identified as Carrie Thomas, 46 of Houston, and Tony Roberts, 47 of Houston.

The three were arrested and transported to the Polk County Jail. Womack was charged with manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance. Thomas was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Roberts was charged with possession of a controlled substance and an outstanding felony drug warrant from Harris County.
