TOMS RIVER - Three Toms River men have been charged after storing and distributing cocaine across Ocean County, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced Monday.

Christian Bultron-Rios, 37, Christian Bultron-Carmona, 18, and Anfernee Guzman-Romero, 26, have all been charged following a six-month investigation where they were seen distributing large amounts of cocaine, Billhimer said.

The multi-agency investigation identified four residences in Toms River involved in the operation, the announcement said. Detectives also determined that the drugs were being concealed in children's toy boxes.

On March 8, law enforcement - while surveilling the Toms River residences - saw Bultron-Rios leave one of the residences carrying two children's toy boxes, Billhimer said. He was detained and determined to be in possession of around one pound of cocaine in each toy box. He was then arrested.

Multiple search warrants were then executed on all of the residences, resulting in the seizure of additional quantities of cocaine and suboxone, a polymer assault rifle with a high capacity magazine, a semi-automatic handgun, hollow point ammunition and drug paraphernalia indicative of narcotics manufacturing and distribution, said Billhimer.

Guzman-Romero and Bultron-Carmona were then arrested at one of the residences, according to the announcement.

He was taken to the Ocean County Jail and is lodged pending a detention hearing.

Guzman-Romero was charged with conspiracy to possess more than five ounces of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a controlled dangerous substance offense, possession of an assault weapon, possession of a high capacity magazine and possession of drug paraphernalia, said Billhimer. He was also taken to the Ocean County Jail where he awaits a detention hearing.

Bultron-Carmona was charged with conspiracy to possess more than five ounces of cocaine with intent to distribute, the announcement said. He was served with the charge via summons pending an upcoming first appearance in Ocean County Superior Court.
