These 3 Cincinnati breweries were just featured on a new beer and travel show

With over 9 million users, Untappd is the world’s largest social networking app for craft beer enthusiasts. It has become the go-to platform for beer drinkers looking to find, source and rate brews worldwide.

Now, the platform is continuing its mission with a new YouTube-based beer and travel show, "Next Exit," which recently featured Cincinnati.

"Next Exit," similar to Anthony Bourdain’s "Parts Unknown" or Guy Fieri’s "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," explores a different city each episode, looking to discover its most interesting places, people and beers.

“Historically, most of the interesting food and beverage shows have focused on food,” Kenny Gould, a "Next Exit" host and the founder Hop Culture Magazine, said in a press release. “In creating 'Next Exit,' we explicitly wanted to explore beverage culture.”

Where the 'Next Exit' hosts visited during their trip to Cincinnati

Untappd released the final installment of season one this week, and the episode explored Greater Cincinnati's beer culture.

Gould and the chief personnel officer for City Brew Tours, Brian Hatheway, made several stops in the Queen City throughout the 17-minute episode.

In addition to visiting Rhinegeist Brewery, where they learned about Rhinegeist's beer production and distribution, the hosts went to the city's historic beer caves in Over-the-Rhine. Gould and Hatheway also played volleyball at Fifty West Brewing Co. and had drinks at Esoteric Brewing Co., Cincinnati's first Asian and Black-owned brewery.

Of course, the trip wasn't complete without a stop at Skyline Chili.

Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Brooklyn and Philadelphia were the other cities featured in season one. Plans for season two will be announced at a later date, according to Gould.
