3 closed, 2 failed, several had follow-ups in latest Arlington restaurant inspections

Three restaurants were closed, two failed, and several had follow-up inspections in the latest Arlington health inspections, according to city data.

There were 170 inspections from Jan. 14 to Jan. 27.

Arlington inspections are based on a 100-point system. A score of 100 is a perfect score, and 70 is considered to be extremely poor.

Three restaurants were closed:

  • Opium Arlington at 3200 Justiss Drive

  • Bux’s Food at 1818 East Pioneer Parkway

  • Boston’s The Gourmet Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar at 2501 East Lamar Blvd.

Bux’s Food and Boston’s were both reopened. Bux’s Food was closed twice.

Two restaurants failed:

  • Red Crab Juicy Seafood Restaurant at 721 North Watson Road, (score: 69)

  • Mac’s Tavern and Grill at 2821 Galleria Drive, 66

Eight restaurants scored 75 or less:

  • Burger Street at 5809 Office Park Drive, 73

  • Ding Tea at 2425 Southeast Green Oaks Blvd., 73

Re-inspections are required for restaurants that score 75 or less.
