3 who died in south Fort Collins crash were former Rocky Mountain High School students

The names of the three people who died in a crash on South Taft Hill Road in Fort Collins in the early morning hours of Feb. 15 have been released by the Larimer County Coroner's Office.

The three individuals pronounced dead at the scene were:

  • Natalie Palacios Mendoza,19, of Loveland

  • Alexsandra Fragoso, 18, of Fort Collins

  • Jaquelin Galvan, 19, of Fort Collins

All three at one time attended Rocky Mountain High School, according to an email to staff at the school.

According to an online obituary, Palacios Mendoza attended Fort Collins schools before attending Severance High School. She was working at Los Chingones Mexican restaurant at the time of her death. Her funeral mass was held Feb. 23 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Fort Collins. A GoFundMe site has been established to help her family and for a memorial fund.

Fragoso was a 2023 graduate of Poudre High School who was working at Plato's Closet at the time of her death, according to an online obituary. Visitation for Fragoso will be held 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, with rosary at 6 p.m. at Allnutt Funeral Service, 650 W. Drake Road. A funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 300 W. Mountain Ave. A GoFundMe site has been established to help with expenses.

Arrangements for Galvan have not been announced, but a GoFundMe site has been established to help the family.

In his email to staff, Rocky Mountain High School principal Craig Woodall said counseling is available through the district's Employee Assistance Services at https://www.psdschools.org/eas. Woodall instructed staff to inform counselors if they have any students impacted by the deaths.

Fort Collins Police Services said Thursday the crash remains under investigation.
