3 Georgia cities ranked among best places to start careers

Jobs, jobs, jobs. It’s one of the things college graduates have to hit the ground running over in order to succeed after finishing their degrees.

According to a recent WalletHub study, three Georgia cities are among the best places in the United States to start a career after graduation.

The best place in the country, though, is Atlanta, according to the study, beating out nearly 200 other cities across the U.S. for the top spot.

The WalletHub study compared market strengths, livability, availability of entry-level jobs, and monthly starting salaries with the affordability of housing when ranking which cities were best to start a career in.

Along with other metrics, WalletHub said they compared quality of life and professional opportunity as their key targets for pitting states and cities against each other for the rankings.

Out of more than 180 cities examined and ranked, Atlanta won overall, while taking the No. 2 slot for professional opportunity and No. 7 for quality of life.
