Three Greenville hotels were recently nominated for Travel + Leisure's 2024 World's Best Awards.

Hotel Hartness, Grand Bohemian Lodge Greenville and Hotel Domestique are the three Greenville hotels nominated.

The World's Best Awards feature favorite hotels, destinations, cruise lines, airlines, railway journeys and more for consideration. Results will be published in Travel + Leisure's August issue.

According to Travel + Leisure, an estimated 235 million people traveled internationally in just three months of 2023 alone, a 100% increase over the same period in 2022. The Middle East saw a 15% increase over its pre-pandemic tourism numbers while Africa and Europe received nearly the same numbers as they did pre-pandemic.

Hotel Hartness

One thing that makes Hotel Hartness unique is its surprising art gallery. The hotel, which opened in March 2023, holds 50 local artworks carefully selected by Art Houzze, a woman-owned Greenville curating business. Other pieces on display were commissioned, and there are some pieces from the Hartness family's collection. While exploring the hotel, be sure to use the QR codes to learn more information regarding the art and artists. The luxury hotel features 73 guestrooms and suites, a 180-acre nature preserve and food and beverage offerings from the Captain's Bar and Patterson Kitchen + Bar.

Grand Bohemian Lodge Greenville

Opened in March of 2022, the Kessler Collection's Grand Bohemian Lodge Greenville also has artwork displayed around every corner from local and international artists. Rich woods, organic stone accents and floor-to-ceiling windows embellish the earthy hotel, giving it a warm and intimate atmosphere. On the hotel balcony, guests can escape into nature with scenic views of the Reedy River and Liberty Bridge. What's more to love is the on-site Poseidon Spa, indoor/outdoor restaurants Between the Trees and Spirit & Bower, fitness center and hiking trails.

Hotel Domestique

Tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Hotel Domestique was inspired by the active lifestyle of former American racing cyclist George Hincapie, who was a key domestique of Lance Armstrong, Alberto Contador and Cadel Evans, who he won the Tour de France alongside. Hincapie's world travels and tastes can be found throughout the part modern boutique, part countryside sanctuary. Guests can enjoy award-winning cuisine from Restaurant 17, soak up the sun poolside or venture through the many vineyards. Cycling expertise is available through part of one of the hotel's many package offerings.
