3 hurt when inflatable ride at Lakewood Passover carnival blows over in wind: police

LAKEWOOD−An inflatable amusement ride at a Passover carnival in the township was blown over by the wind Monday afternoon, injuring three people, police said.

The incident happened at 500 Summer Ave., in the back of Ateres Reva Hall, shortly after 3:15 p.m.

Among the injured was a pregnant woman with abdominal pain. Two adults suffered head injuries and were unconscious, Lakewood Police Capt. Thomas Langenberger said. One of those victims possibly suffered a skull fracture, he said.

The two people with head injuries were taken to to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Their conditions were not immediately available.
