3 Maple Grove Schools Removed From COVID-19 Outbreak List
MAPLE GROVE, MN — The number of Maple Grove schools on the Minnesota Department of Health’s list of facilities with coronavirus outbreaks dropped to its lowest mark in months, with eight schools included Thursday.
Eleven schools were on the first two weekly lists of 2022, but three schools were removed from the most recent list.

Eight Maple Grove schools were named on the state’s list Thursday:
Basswood Elementary
Elm Creek Elementary
Fernbrook Elementary
Maple Grove Middle School
Maple Grove Senior High
Rice Lake Elementary
Rush Creek Elementary
Weaver Lake Elementary
All eight Maple Grove schools on Thursday's list are in the Osseo Area Schools district.
The COVID-19 data dashboard for Osseo Area Schools shows there have been 2,311 total coronavirus cases among students in the district since Sept. 7, including 736 cases from Jan. 4-10.

The district recorded 780 cases from Aug. 20, 2020, through Sept. 6, 2021.
Officials also reported 140 new cases among staff from Jan. 4-10, taking that total to 505 cases since Sept. 7, the dashboard shows.
The Minnesota Department of Health's most recent list of facilities with coronavirus outbreaks included 92 Hennepin County schools, 40 less than last week. Thursday's list included 444 schools throughout Minnesota, 244 less than last week.
