3 men charged in sexual assault attack against woman after night out at Marlboro bar

MARLBORO – Three men — all 24-years-old — have been charged with sexual assault after investigators said they took a woman home from a bar and repeatedly attacked her while she was restrained, said acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey on Monday.

Andrew J. Gallucci of Marlboro, Richard S. Gathy of Manalapan and Ronald W. Hondo of Monroe, are all charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault and third-degree criminal restraint, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said in a prepared statement.

The Prosecutor’s Office has distributed photos of their drivers’ licenses in the event anyone from the public can provide investigators with information about the past conduct of the men that may be relevant to its case.

The events are alleged to have happened on April 2.

The three suspects were at a local bar in Marlboro on a Saturday night where they reportedly met the victim for the first time. Later that evening, the men brought the victim back to Gallucci’s Marlboro home, where the Prosecutor’s Office said the victim was restrained in a bedroom — against her will — and then repeatedly sexually assaulted.

“This was a disturbingly coordinated and predatory attack,” Linskey said. “We commend the courage of the victim in coming forward to report what happened to her, and we look forward to bringing those responsible to justice.”

All three men were taken into custody Friday. They were each brought to the Monmouth County Jail in Freehold Township, where they remain pending future detention hearings in state Superior Court in Freehold, the statement said.

The investigation is being conducted by the Special Victims Bureau of the Prosecutor’s Office’s and the Marlboro Police Department.
