After a controlled scrimmage of sorts in full pads Saturday, the Chicago Bears slowed the tempo Sunday at Halas Hall with a short practice that was little more than a walk-through, giving players an easy day after the morning’s COVID-19 scare and heading into a planned day off Monday.
Here are three observations from Sunday’s session and the interview with coach Matt Nagy that followed.
1. A quarterback decision is ‘not going to happen soon.’
The season opener Sept. 13 in Detroit is less than three weeks away, but the Bears are nowhere near making a decision in the quarterback battle between Mitch Trubisky and Nick Foles.
