3 restaurants to try, Wawa coming to town, here are today's top stories | Daily Briefing

Morning! This is Keith Pandolfi, food and dining writer at The Enquirer.
I started experimenting with a regular column this past year that we call "three to try." Instead of a traditional review or feature, it focuses on, well, three different restaurants, both new and old, that have impressed me as of late.
While readers sometimes accuse me of not being critical enough of our city’s restaurants (I abandoned The Enquirer’s traditional review system when I took this job during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic), I do have some pretty high standards when it comes to which restaurants I choose to write about.
That said, I promise if I include a restaurant in a three-to-try list, it means I’m wholeheartedly endorsing it.
Today’s installment took me from a suburban Sichuan restaurant in Mason to a California-style taco spot in Terrace Park and an outstanding Greek restaurant in Over-the-Rhine. I hope you give all three a shot.
