3 new school principals announced in Beavercreek for upcoming school year

Beavercreek City Schools has announced the hiring of three new school principals for the upcoming school year.

Brian Shimko will be the new principal at Ankeney Middle School while Jonathan Webb has been selected as the new principal at Main Elementary School principal. The school district also announced the hiring of Sarah Chivington as the new Valley Elementary School principal, according to a school spokesperson.

Shimko has been at Beavercreek Schools since 2000, including the last eight years as assistant principal at Ankeny Middle School.

Webb had served as the assistant principal at Ferguson Hall Freshman School since 2018 before being named principal.

Chivington was Greenon Local Schools and has 20 years of experience.

Superintendent Paul Otten will recommend the hiring of these three people to the Board of Education during their regular board meeting on June 15.

Once approved, their contracts will go into effect starting August 1.
