Latin American artists celebrated at the Cultural Council

Stop by the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County this weekend to see its new “Contemporary Art of the Latin American Diaspora” exhibition showcasing diverse works by more than 20 Palm Beach County artists from a wide range of Latin American origins. Guest curator Juliana Forero (founder of Nomad Art Projects) weaves an intricate story with the work of artists whose families come from Venezuela, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Guatemala, and Cuba, among others. Classic horror film with live musical performance at Kravis Center

Add some classic culture to your Halloween weekend! This Saturday night, the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts will host a screening of the 1925 silent horror film “The Phantom of the Opera” but with a modern twist. The talented organist Cameron Carpenter will provide an improvised score alongside the film on the organization’s premier George W. Mergens Memorial Digital Organ. Get your tickets now!

Symphonic music in Lake Worth Beach

Head to the Duncan Theatre at Palm Beach State College’s Lake Worth Beach campus this Saturday for a rousing night of music performed by one of the county’s finest groups, the Symphonic Band of the Palm Beaches, during their “From Shining Seas” concert. The program will feature music from master composers paying homage to the power of the sea!
