Colorful, powerful exhibition in West Palm Beach

Looking for a fun way to experience visual art this weekend? Head to The Box Gallery in West Palm Beach to see its latest exhibition, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” which celebrates the colors and culture of LGBTQA+ individuals. The gallery’s owner Rolando Chang Barrero worked with Cuban filmmaker Hugo Navarro to bring this landmark show to the city, in celebration of Palm Beach Pride (which is also happening this weekend in Lake Worth Beach!). Historical tour in Boca Raton

This Tuesday, the Schmidt Boca Raton History Museum will be offering a tour of The Boca Raton, which within the past few years has been renovated to more closely resemble its original Addison Mizner design. The tour takes visitors through the hotel’s earliest days in the 1920s and details important turning points during the building’s history and architecture. It’s an easy way to spend the day for history buffs!

Verdi’s “Falstaff”

Though it may be a bit sad to be at the end of another excellent Palm Beach Opera season — at least their season finale show is one they’ve never performed before! This weekend, fans of the finer arts will no doubt enjoy Palm Beach Opera’s production of Verdi’s beloved “Falstaff” at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. This comedic tale of the knight Falstaff as he tries to woo a pair of married women is classic opera at its finest, so get your tickets now!
