Three people were shot and several others wounded by shards of glass in a Clarksville Waffle House parking lot early Sunday morning.
The Clarksville Police Department responded to the scene at 1683 Fort Campbell Boulevard just before 3 a.m.
They found a man with two gunshot wounds, who was later taken by Life Flight to Nashville. He is currently in critical but stable condition, according to police spokesman Scott Beaubien.
The two other people shot during the incident drove themselves or were dropped off at Tennova Healthcare and Blanchfield Army Community Hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, Beaubien added.
There were several people hit by shards of glass during the incident.
It appears that the shooting took place outside the business and all of the gunshot victims were outside in the parking lot area.
Detectives and officers are speaking to several people as they continue the shooting investigation. No arrests have been made as of Monday morning.
Investigators think this is an isolated incident. There is no reason to believe the public is in danger, police said.
