3-star tight end from Georgia commits to Auburn football

AUBURN — Auburn football has landed a commitment from 3-star recruit Martavious Collins from Rome High School in Georgia, he announced via Twitter on Friday.

The 6-foot-3, 241-pound Collins, who is listed as the No. 50 athlete in the 247Sports Composite and the No. 507 overall prospect in the Class of 2024, is being recruited as a tight end. His primary recruiter listed on his 247Sports profile is tight ends coach Ben Aigamaua.

Collins originally committed to Alabama in July, but decommitted on Feb. 6. He's the fifth player to join Auburn's recruiting class this cycle, along with four-star quarterback Walker White, four-star running back J'Marion "Phat" Burnette and four-star defensive backs A'Mon Lane and Jayden Lewis.

Collins, who was at A-Day on Saturday, also took a visit to Florida State on April 4.
