We’ve all been through that kind of morning when everything goes wrong: you wake up 10 minutes too late, your eyebrows don’t look like sisters, they look like old-forgotten cousins, and your cat eye looks like it was drawn by a 5-year old.

On top of that, you probably spilled some coffee on your outfit and you can’t find your phone. So when on Earth are you supposed to have time to make breakfast?!

Calm down and forget about grabbing that Starbucks croissant on the way to work. It might be delicious AF, but not so healthy. Relax, breathe and spare 5 minutes of your time to make one of the next breakfast ideas. You’re going to be late anyway, so might as well have your stomach full.

And no, none of the ideas are avocado-toast (as your probably would expect).

Protein Shake

Long live the protein shake and the million available recipes out there!

One of the favourites among the quick and easy breakfast ideas, the protein shake literally takes 2 precious minutes of your time and will keep you full till lunch.

Throw some water/milk in the blender, the protein powder of your choice, fruits and seeds and you have your breakfast on the go!

Here are 12 recipes that will give you some ideas of what to add in your shake.

Chia Seeds Pudding

Chia seeds pudding is one of those things which are too good to be true. It totally tastes like a dessert, but it’s actually healthy for you.

With the texture and taste of a pudding, this breakfast requires well… chia seeds, yoghurt or milk and whatever other extra toppings you like, such as nuts, coconut flakes, fruits and even protein powder.

Throw them all in a bowl and leave it to rest for 10 minutes (fix that cat eye in the meanwhile!) so the seeds will absorb the liquid and become a delicious pudding-like breakfast!

Porridge

I’m sure somewhere in an alternative universe porridge and chia seeds pudding were best friends, cos they’re both filling, healthy, delicious and dessert-like!

Known to help in weight-loss, porridge is a great quick and easy breakfast that will keep your stomach from growling throughout the day.

All you need is a bowl, your milk of choice, some rolled oats and toppings (almonds, fruits, seeds, etc.)
