1. Gallery Night & Day

The first Gallery Night & Day event of 2022 brings together art, artists and the people who are interested in both at more than 15 spots in Milwaukee's Third Ward, East Town, Walker's Point and Menomonee Valley neighborhoods Jan. 21-22. The free gatherings start at 5 p.m. Friday, and continue during the day Saturday. Check with participating venues for COVID-19 safety protocols. Info: gallerynightmke.com.

2. Milwaukee Museum Days

During Milwaukee Museum Days, from Jan. 20 through Jan. 24, you can get free or deeply discounted admission at more than 20 Milwaukee-area museums. Some of the museums have special programming scheduled. (If you miss this weekend, it continues Jan. 27-30.) Info: visitmilwaukee.org/museum-days-2022.

3. Waukesha Janboree's final weekend

The Waukesha Janboree, with outdoor events all over town, ends its 10-day run Jan. 23. The final weekend's events include a Flannel Fly-In at Crites Field (10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 22), a Sunset Candelight Hike in Minooka Park (4 to 8 p.m. Jan. 22) and a "penguin egg" hunt in Cutler Park (starting at 12:15 p.m. Jan. 22).
