These 30 Bucks County, Montco students have been nominated to US Military academies

Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick announced the United States Military Service Academy nominations for the Class of 2027 on Wednesday.

He nominated the students from Bucks and Montgomery counties to the nation’s prestigious Service Academies, including West Point, the Naval Academy in Annapolis, the Air Force Academy and the Merchant Marine Academy. The nominations are recommended to Fitzpatrick by his nomination committee, comprised of active duty and retired service members from across Pennsylvania's 1st Congressional District. The following students received an academy nomination.

Nominated to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point:

  • Tyler Anderson of Wake Forest University

  • Gitae Choi of North Penn

  • Ethan Cho of Hatboro-Horsham; also nominated to U.S. Naval Academy

  • Ethan Cunningham of Central Bucks High School South; also U.S. Naval Academy

  • Jason Dill of LaSalle College High School

  • Chester Kempinski of William Penn Charter

  • Zachary Klepeiss of Pennridge High School; also nominated U.S. Merchant Marine Academy

  • Maxwell McGlone of Central Bucks High School West

  • Scott Pearson of Norwich University

  • Nia Perry of Central Bucks High School West; also nominated U.S. Naval Academy

  • Reese Sargent of 258 Human Resources Company 1st Infantry Division

Nominated to the U.S. Air Force Academy:

  • Patrick Ayres of Council Rock High School North

  • Ethan Kennedy of Central Bucks High School South

  • Andrew Lyons of LaSalle College High School; also nominated to U.S. Naval Academy and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy

  • Kyle Meinhart of The Pennington School

  • John Shea of Pennsbury High School

  • Zachary Silver of Valley Forge Military College

  • Nicholas Walter of William Penn Charter High School

  • Ethan Weaver of Hatboro-Horsham High School; also nominated to U.S. Merchant Marine Academy

  • Anna Whitson of Central Bucks High School East

Nominated to the U.S. Naval Academy:

  • Matthew Colajezzi of U.S. Naval Academy Preparatory School

  • Matthew Huot of Holy Ghost Preparatory School
