BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Here’s a name that will ring a bell with a lot of football fans, Frank Gore, Jr. Former pro-bowl running back Frank Gore has a son in this year’s draft class and just like his dad — he plays running back.

“I would say I’m more agile, a little more lateral movement, he’s more of a thumper but other than that we’re pretty similar,” said Gore, Jr.

Being the son of one of the best running backs ever comes with some lofty expectations, something he embraces.

“I’m going to set a higher bar for it, Frank Gore, I’m going to put that name on the map,” Gore, Jr. said. “But there’s no pressure. I embrace the pressure. Whatever people try to make it, that’s what I’m going to take it as. It’s a blessing for sure.”

Frank Jr. rushed for 4,000 yards and 26 touchdowns at Southern Mississippi. He is projected to be a 4th or 5th round draft pick.
