300 Evacuated as Fire Burns at Nuevo Leon Factory

Three hundred people were evacuated after a fire broke out at a pallet and plastic factory in Escobedo, Mexico, on Wednesday, April 10, Civil Protection Nuevo Leon said.

Out of the 300 evacuated, three were assessed for carbon monoxide poisoning, the civil protection organization said, adding, “the warehouse is compromised and completely collapsed, with wood, plastic and cardboard being consumed.”

Footage shared by Civil Protection Nuevo Leon shows a thick cloud of smoke and flames rising inside and outside the factory.
