31-year-old arrested for stabbing 19-year-old boyfriend with kitchen knife

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) – A 31-year-old Orchard Park man was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly stabbing his 19-year-old boyfriend in the head with a kitchen knife, according to police.

Jake Diaz was charged with second-degree assault, a felony, as well as misdemeanor menacing and weapons charges, police announced. He was released on his own recognizance, but a stay away order of protection was issued.

The victim called police just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday to report he had been stabbed during an argument in their South Buffalo Street apartment. Police said officers observed that the victim had a head wound, and he was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
