32-year-old Elkton man shot in the head in Glasgow following a car chase

A 32-year-old Elkton, Maryland, man was shot in the head Saturday night following an altercation and a car chase through Glasgow.

Delaware State Police said the altercation occurred around 10:04 p.m. in the parking lot of the Wawa on Pulaski Highway in Glasgow.

The victim drove off on Pulaski Highway (Route 40) toward Route 896 after the suspect displayed a weapon.

Police said that the suspect pulled up to the victim’s vehicle at Route 896 and Howell School Road and fired multiple shots, striking the vehicle several times. The victim was struck once in the head, crashed his vehicle into a ditch and ran to a nearby neighborhood for help.

The victim was taken to a hospital for medical treatment. A second vehicle not involved in the initial incident was also hit by bullets, but no other injuries were reported.

Currently, there is no description of the suspect or surveillance footage available.
