32-year-old man dead following Sunday evening crash in Taylor County
TOWN OF RIB LAKE − A 32-year-old man is dead following a one-vehicle crash Sunday evening.
At 8:49 p.m. Sunday, a 911 caller reported a vehicle hit a utility pole and the driver appeared to be dead on Taylor County C, just north of Bonde Avenue, Rib Lake. When deputies arrived they found Daniel R. Resch, 32, of Ogema, was dead.
The investigation indicated Resch was going north on Taylor County C at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle, according to the Taylor County Sheriff's Office. The vehicle overturned several times and came to rest after hitting a utility pole, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the crash, according to the Sheriff's Office.
