Editor's note: Did you know we have a newsletter devoted to our food and dining coverage? We've recently revised it to include restaurant-related tidbits as well as links to some of our great restaurant coverage. Click here if you'd like to subscribe and have it delivered to your inbox (for free!) every Tuesday.

I get lots of email. My husband shudders every time he sees the number above the little envelope icon on my phone.

Most of that email is junk, hanging out waiting to be deleted. Some of it has great information, like about Wayback Burgers great BOGO deal for National Hamburger Day and the Melting Pot's new Wednesday Friendsday.

In the past, I've read those emails and thought, "Hmmmm, that's interesting," just before hitting a button sending them to their cyber graves. But now, I've decided to share those, and some of our great food-related coverage, in our revised weekly newsletter.

We're calling it 321 Flavor Bites, a play off our robust food-centric Facebook group, 321 Flavor: Where Brevard Eats.

We were super excited to celebrate the humble hamburger this month. My colleague Rob Landers and I have enjoyed our "working" lunches. Plus I asked some of the area's favorite high-end chefs to tell me about their favorite burgers.

You can read all about our picks for the top burgers in Brevard here.

I also couldn't let Burger Month go by without talking to Florida's No. 1 burger enthusiast, Miami blogger the Burger Beast, aka Sef Gonzalez. The Beast has loved burgers since he was a kid, and in the past 10 years, he's turned that passion into a business, hosting burger pop-up events and sampling burgers across the country.

Why is Lyn raving about this Cocoa Village spot?

Cypress Table's doughnuts gave the eatery a great reputation on the local food scene when they were sold at Rockledge Gardens before the Cocoa Village location opened.

Because it's great, that's why!

Our restaurant critic Lyn Dowling recently enjoyed brunch at the Cypress Table in Cocoa Village. Read her review here to find out what she loved about the place. And (spoiler alert) I'll tell you the one thing she didn't like: the plastic cutlery. Well, that may soon be remedied.

"Thank you so much for the review," Cypress Table owner Patricia Rieger commented on a Facebook link to the review. "I've let Lyn know as soon as our new dishwasher is installed we'll be cutting out the disposable cutlery:) we aren't a fan of it either lol, but we do the best we can given our circumstances."

By the way, if you want to read more about how Cypress Table got its start as a food cart, check out my story from September 2022, written just before the restaurant opened.
