32nd annual Kansas All-American Grand Slam schedule released. Here's what you need to know

Nineteen teams from across Kansas will take part in the 32nd Kansas Grand Slam baseball tournament beginning on Thursday.

Three sites will be used for pool play — Dean Evans Stadium, James Matson Field and Grant Sports Complex in McPherson — for the 18-under and 16-under divisions. The 18-unders are divided into two five-team pools, while one 16-under pool will have five teams and the other four.

The Salina Falcons and Hawks will compete in the 18-under division and the Eagles at 16-under. One other Salina team, the Drive, is in the 16-under division.

The Salina Falcons open pool play at 7:45 p.m. Thursday at Evans Stadium against McPherson-Kendrick/Camien. They'll play two games Friday on Field C of the Grant Sports Complex, taking on  Buhler at 2:30 p.m. and the Topeka Stogies at 4:45.

The Salina Hawks will play at two different sites Thursday. They'll face the Wichita Grays at 3:15 p.m. at Evans Stadium and McPherson-McCassland at 7:45 at Matson Field.

The Salina Eagles open against Mammoth Sports at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Evans Stadium. They'll then play twice Friday at Matson Field against Topeka Stogies-Reynolds at 12:15 p.m and the Topeka Scrappers at 2:30.

The top two teams from each 18U pool will compete in a single-elimination bracket Sunday. The championship game is scheduled for 4:45 p.m. at Evans Stadium. The teams that don't qualify for bracket play with play in consolation games on Saturday.

The top two teams from each 16U pool will compete in a single-elimination bracket beginning on Saturday and ending on Sunday. The championship game is slated for 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Evans Stadium.

Along with this year's tournament, the Salina Wheat Sox 8U will play an exhibition game at Evans Stadium at 7 p.m. Friday against the Salina Spikes, while Salina Baseball Enterprises' alumni game will take place at 7:45 p.m. Saturday also at Evans Stadium.
