33rd Annual Fisher-Titus Foundation Golf Tournament

Jul. 26—NORWALK — The Fisher-Titus Foundation's 33rd Annual Golf Tournament, presented by Janotta and Herner, will take place at Eagle Creek Golf Course rain or shine on Wednesday, Aug. 3 with assigned tee times from 8:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

"We are so grateful to the individuals and businesses who have supported the Fisher-Titus Foundation Golf Tournament over its 33-year history," said Angie Smith, director for the Fisher-Titus Foundation. "Together we have raised over $1 million for vital improvements to health care at our independent, non-profit, community health system. We look forward to hosting our partners in health care excellence for another great day of golf, food, drink, networking, and fun."

Participation, through golf or sponsorship, in the 2022 Golf Outing will help fund state-of-the-art equipment, technology and renovation for a second cardiac catheterization (cath) lab at Fisher-Titus' Snyder/White Heart and Vascular Center. Completion of the cath lab renovation will bring both cardiac cath labs up to the skill level of Fisher-Titus' talented Heart and Vascular Team.

This year's Golf Outing builds on a series of capital improvements supported by the Fisher-Titus Foundation for heart and vascular care in 2019-2022 that have already paid dividends for Fisher-Titus patients and the community. Zoll X-Series defibrillators were purchased by the Fisher-Titus Foundation for North Central EMS ambulances with support from the 2019 and 2020 Golf Outings. The Zoll devices provide guided CPR/defibrillation as well as EKG monitoring in the field to identify heart attacks and relay the vitals data back to the emergency department in real time. The Stryker LifeNet system was also purchased in 2020 by the Fisher-Titus Foundation to receive vitals data from the field from all regional EMS services. Proceeds from the 2021 Golf Outing helped renovate the first cardiac cath lab with state-of-the-art technology and equipment, allowing Fisher-Titus to care for more patients close to home.

This series of improvements, taken together with Fisher-Titus door-to-balloon times have steadily improved to a record 20 minutes and an average door-to-balloon time that is over 30% better than the national standard.

"We are so grateful to Janotta and Herner for again supporting this year's golf tournament as our title sponsor," said Smith. "Fisher-Titus' partnership with Janotta and Herner has helped us build an outstanding health system for our community. And their support of the Fisher-Titus Foundation has helped us make meaningful advances to quality, safety, affordability and local access to health services for our loved ones and neighbors — for both the Janotta and Herner and the Fisher-Titus teams, this work is personal."

"Fisher-Titus has been a long-standing pillar in our community and Janotta & Herner is proud to partner in assisting with their continued efforts of serving others," said Zach Jones, Janotta & Herner president. "We are honored to be the title sponsor for the 2022 golf outing, and value the relationship that we have shared with Fisher-Titus for over 25 years. Thank you, Fisher-Titus, for your dedication to our community."

Individuals can participate in the tournament and support the cardiac cath lab project by registering as a sponsor or a golfer. Several sponsorship and golfer entry options are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
