34-year-old man killed in motorcycle crash on I-77 in Bland County

BLAND COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Virginia State Police reports a man is dead after a motorcycle crash on Interstate 77 in Bland County on April 14.

According to VSP, the incident occurred at 3 p.m. on I-77 North, near mile marker 56. Troopers said 34-year-old Jarrod B. Chafin, of Abingdon, was riding a 2011 Harley Davidson when he swerved off the road and crashed into a guardrail.

LPD identifies victim in deadly Main Street shooting

Chafin was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
