34-year-old vanished a month ago. Her body was just found, Alabama officials say

A body found in Alabama was identified as a 34-year-old who was missing for a month, officials say.

Sandrea Taylor’s body was found Monday, March 27, in Macon County, according to a news release from District Attorney Mike Segrest. Officials identified the body as Taylor on Wednesday, March 29, and determined her cause of death was homicide.

Taylor was last seen Feb. 26, her twin sister, Andrea Taylor, said in a Facebook post. Since then, her family and officials have been trying to locate her.

Family members last heard from Sandrea Taylor on Friday, Feb. 24, her mom told The Outlook. That day, Sandrea Taylor was supposed to go to her mom’s house after work, but she never showed.

Officials said they are continuing to investigate and asked anyone with information to contact law enforcement.

Loved ones shared tributes for Sandrea Taylor on social media.

Sandrea will be coming home just not in the way we all hoped and prayed,” Andrea Taylor wrote on Facebook. “The fight is not over. We will get her justice!”

This sweet soul did not deserve anything like this,” one person wrote on Facebook. “She was such a good person and would help anyone she could!”

“So incredibly sad,” another person wrote. “Such a sweet girl!

Macon County is about 130 miles southeast of Birmingham.
