36-year-old man fatally shot in West Baltimore neighborhood, police say

Baltimore Police are investigating after a 36-year-old man was fatally shot Tuesday morning in West Baltimore, police said.

Close to 10:16 a.m., a ShotSpotter alert of gunfire in the area dispatched officers to a shooting scene in the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood along the 1400 block of N. Mount St. Officers found the 36-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds and attempted to render aid until medical personnel arrived, police said.

The man was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center by ambulance and was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived.
