36-year-old repeatedly calls 911 after parents shut off her cell phone, Ohio cops say

A woman in Ohio was arrested on Feb. 13 after police say she called 911 “repeatedly” because of her cell phone.

Seloni Khetarpal, 36, called police and ordered officers to respond to her Jackson Township home because her parents had shut off her cell phone service, WEWS reported.

An officer told Khetarpal that she was only allowed to call the number for real emergencies, WJW reported. Two hours later, Khetarpal called — again — about her canceled cell phone plan.

Records say she “was belligerent and stated she believed it to be a legitimate issue,” according to the Canton Repository.

Khetarpal was arrested and charged with disrupting public services, a fourth-degree felony, the outlet reported.
