38 UWS Eateries Join NYC Restaurant Week: Here's Where

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Neighbors on the Upper West Side can soon eat away their winter doldrums at a discount.

This year's first Restaurant Week, which opened reservations on Tuesday, includes 38 restaurants on the Upper West Side (a better neighborhood showing than during last summer's event).

The deals-oriented event includes two-course lunches for $29 per-person, and three-course dinners for $39 apiece at participating restaurants. If you want to splurge, some restaurants will offer pricier $59 dinners.

And, despite its name, Restaurant Week will run for about a month, from Jan. 18 to Feb. 13.

The event's website describes Restaurant Week as "your chance to try it all in the most vibrant dining scene in the world," and — as in years past — that's more true in certain neighborhoods than others.

Only one of the 380 Manhattan eateries participating in Restaurant Week is located in Washington Heights, for instance. By contrast, 81 restaurants are located in Midtown.

Still, there are many deals to be had across dozens of Manhattan neighborhoods (and in the outer boroughs, for those willing to travel a little further).
