Daytona Beach Boat Show
Presented by the Marine Industry Association of Central Florida, the show started Friday and ends today at Daytona International Speedway. The boat show starts at 10 a.m. and features more than 80 boat manufacturers that represent a wide variety of boats, including jet boats, pontoon boats, bowriders, center consoles, deck boats, fresh water fishing boats, surf boats and more. There also are vendor booths and live music.

The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra
The Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center is the place for the only show of the Glenn Miller Orchestra at 7 pm. Friday, Jan. 21. Known for its swing dance and unique jazz arrangements, the Glenn Miller Orchestra was formed in 1956 and has been touring worldwide ever since.

Michael Bolton
If the Glenn Miller Orchestra isn’t your style, perhaps Grammy Award-winning singer Michael Bolton might be. He’s performing at the Peabody Auditorium at 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21. A songwriter as well as a performer, Bolton has written songs with some diverse talents, including Bob Dylan, Lady Gaga and David Foster.

The Roar Before the Rolex 24
Here’s what racing fans have been waiting for – the start of racing season. The Roar serves as a final dress rehearsal before the Rolex 24 as some of the world’s top drivers take to the track. The action starts on Friday, Jan. 21, and continues through Sunday, Jan. 23 at Daytona International Speedway.

‘Wait Until Dark’
A masterful and tense thriller, the play at City Repertory Theatre in Palm Coast is about a blind woman being terrorized by a group of criminals while they search her home for a doll stuffed with heroin. Known for its breath-stopping final scene, the play is based on the successful 1967 movie starring Audrey Hepburn. Performances are scheduled for Jan. 21-23.
