HAMPTON – The Lane House Arts Center in Hampton is hosting their 3rd annual “Art for the Holidays” exhibit, featuring local artists and fine crafts people, as well as an open house and open studios.

The holiday exhibit and gallery at LHAC feature over 30 artists in a wide range of mediums and styles, from paintings and photography to woodwork, ceramics and jewelry, leather work and fiber arts, and handmade ornaments and holiday cards. “We have an amazing array of unique, hand-crafted work, perfect for gift giving,” says Karen Desrosiers, founder of Lane House Arts Center. “This is a great opportunity to support artists and local business, while finding one-of-a-kind gifts.”

Local artist Jan Labrecque will also have an exhibit, “Winter by the Sea”, in the gallery for the month of December, featuring original watercolor paintings of seasonal images and scenes of the seacoast area.

An open house and open studios will run Dec. 2 to 4. “Visitors can explore the artist studios, chat with artists, and enjoy a holiday treat,” says Desrosiers. The “Art for the Holidays” exhibit and expanded gallery continues to Dec. 22. The gallery is open Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
