Another Peppa Pig Theme Park is now being planned. The attraction will be built in Gunzburg, Germany, as part of the Legoland Deutschland Resort, Merlin Entertainments Group recently announced.

It will be the third full-blown Peppa Pig park. The concept debuted at Legoland Florida Resort in Winter Haven in February 2022, and ground was recently broken near Dallas for the second one with a 2024 opening date.

“The park is conceived and designed around the needs and abilities of pre-school children. With the opening, we are thus also offering the young target group their own rides and the opportunity to get to know the world of family theme parks step by step,” Maneula Stone, Legoland Deutschland divisional director, said in a news release.

Among the attractions at the Florida location are Daddy Pig’s Roller Coaster, Grampy Rabbit’s Dinosaur Adventure, the Muddy Puddles Splash Pad, Grandad Dog’s Pirate Boat Ride and the “Peppa Pig’s Treasure Hunt Adventure” show. The park introduced Breakfast With Peppa, a character-interaction experience, this year.

Peppa is the centerpiece pig of an animated British program for preschoolers. The Peppa Pig park in Germany is slated to open in 2024, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the character, Merlin says.

“We look forward to continuing to celebrate our dynamic partnership with Hasbro by creating more opportunities and bringing phenomenal brands like Peppa Pig to life through our attractions,” Scott O’Neil, CEO of Merlin Entertainments, said in a news release.

Merlin, based in Britain, has more than 140 attractions in 24 countries. In Florida, the company operates Madame Tussauds Orlando and Sea Life Orlando Aquarium in Icon Park on International Drive in addition to Legoland Florida and Peppa Pig park in Winter Haven.

“The success of the first Peppa Pig Theme Park has been phenomenal, and we are excited to embark on the journey again with our friends at Merlin to bring the first Peppa Pig Park to our fans and families in Europe and expand the reach of this immersive experience,” said Matt Proulx, vice president, location-based entertainment at Hasbro.
