4 Charged In Unemployment Fraud Scheme Allegedly Run By Inmate From Jail

AG Maura Healey says a scheme run by a Worcester County Jail inmate stole personal information from other inmates to secure Massachusetts unemployment money.

- Attorney general's office says a Worcester County jail inmate ran an unemployment scheme from behind bars. Four people from Springfield are now facing charges, accused of using the personal information of jail inmates and others to steal more than $77,000. Investigators say the group used some of the stolen benefits to post bond for the mastermind.
