4 dead, many injured, shopping mall targeted in Dnipro in one of Russia’s largest civilian attacks

Russia launched a massive drone and missile attack using drones on Ukrainian cities on Dec. 29, causing huge destruction and casualties in many cities across the country.

Four people were killed in Dnipro, with many others injured, reported Dnipropetrovsk regional governor Serhiy Lysak.

Lysak confirmed a hit on a shopping center, which led to a fire outbreak.

“Currently, almost fifteen people are reported injured, with four fatalities,” Lysak said.

Earlier reports indicated a fire at a shopping center and a damaged maternity hospital. The Health Ministry later confirmed that all patients and medical staff had safely moved to shelters.

All local services are fully mobilized and working with the State Emergency Service under the guidance of the regional administration, stated Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov.

In Lviv, one person was killed and 13 injured due to a missile strike, with four of them hospitalized, stated Lviv regional governor Maksym Kozytsky in Telegram on Dec. 29.

As of now, 13 residential buildings and two schools are damaged, as well as numerous vehicles. Efforts to mitigate the consequences of the enemy attack are ongoing.

A residential building on Khotkevych Street in Lviv was hit by a missile, resulting in one dead and eight injured civilians. Most injuries were caused by window shards blown in by the explosion.

Multiple fires broke out in various districts of Kyiv, with residential buildings damaged and casualties reported during Russia's massive attack on Ukraine, the Kyiv City State Administration reported on Telegram.

Seven people have been hospitalized in Kyiv, five of whom are in the Shevchenkivskyi district, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said on Dec. 29.

A residential building was damaged in Kyiv's Shevchenkivskyi district. Fires also erupted in a garage area.

A residential high-rise building caught fire, and parked cars ignited at another location in the Svyatoshynskyi district. One casualty has been reported.

A fire broke out in a warehouse area, with many injuries reported in the Podilskyi district. A residential building was also damaged.

Kyiv's Lukianivska Metro Station building was damaged in Russia's massive attack on Ukraine, said Klitschko.

Three people in the Shevchenkivskyi district are trapped under the debris of a warehouse building damaged by missile fragments, he said, adding that three people have already been rescued.
