Police say a group of people was standing outside a bodega on the corner when a sedan drove by and someone opened fire. CBS2's Tony Aiello reports.

- We're following some breaking news in Westchester County. Police are on the scene in Yonkers, where several people have been shot. CBS 2's Tony Aiello live there with more on this. Tony.

TONY AIELLO: Christine, very disturbing gun violence. It has brought Mayor Mike Spano, Police Commissioner John Mueller, and council member Corazon Pineda Isaac to the scene. We are at the corner of Oak and Elm. And on a summer afternoon a group of people hanging outside a bodega on the corner. Around 4:15, a sedan drove by and someone opened fire. Three men and one woman struck by bullets. All have been taken to local hospitals. One of the victims is listed in serious condition. Three are listed in stable. There are preliminary concerns that this may have been a gang-related shooting.

I am just around the corner, literally a hundred feet away from where a six-year-old boy was shot in the chest in April. He survived. Mayor Spano says that the gun violence that we're seeing here and all across the country is a huge concern. He's going to have heightened police patrols in this neighborhood, which is known as the Trees, for the next couple of days. Again, four people shot in Yonkers, taken to the hospital.
