These 4 Parade of Homes entries will feature chefs for Friday tours

On Friday, the Southwestern Indiana Builders Association will host Chefs on Parade as the kick off for the annual Parade of Homes, which will happen from June 3-11.

Four of the new, unique homes on the tour have been paired with a local chef or restaurant who will be cooking specialties in the home’s kitchen between 5:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., waiting to serve guests as they take a tour. Beer and wine will also be offered.

Here's where you can find the four new homes (and some busy chefs) on Friday:

Waterside at Berkshire subdivision in Newburgh

Moonlite Bar-b-q Inn from Owensboro, Kentucky, will be setting up at a home in the Waterside at Berkshire subdivision in Newburgh, Indiana (5731 Brompton Drive) with signature smoked dishes from their generations-old Owensboro smokehouse including pork tenderloin and barbecue pork, ham and biscuits, asparagus crepes, and banana pudding.

Terra Vista subdivision off Morgan Avenue

The Bauerhaus will be at a home in the new Terra Vista subdivision off Morgan Avenue (7520 Jagger Court), serving spinach and artichoke dip with naan and assorted crackers, bacon jalapeno devilled eggs, Bauerhaus meatballs with tropical pineapple and mango glaze, and double chocolate iced brownies.

Briar Pointe subdivision on the North Side

Pappa Bear’s Catering will be serving in the Briar Pointe subdivision on the North Side (2043 Shiar Court), with pork filets, twice baked potato casserole and cucumber salad.

Centerra Ridge subdivision on Evansville’s East Side

The Acropolis Catering will be in the Centerra Ridge subdivision on Evansville’s East Side (7807 Mesa Court), serving veggie cups with dips including tzatziki, hummus and bread; Greek salad, baklava and bourbon meatballs.

Tickets are $30. Purchase them online and you will receive a wristband at the first home you visit.
