Student killed, 4 others shot at Philadelphia high school
A student was killed and four others were wounded after a drive-by shooting Tuesday behind a high school in Philadelphia.
The incident occurred around 4:40 p.m. at Roxborough High School on the city’s northwest side, police said.
Police said the suspects drove up in a green Ford Explorer before multiple shots were fired.
The victims were players on the school’s football team, which had just finished a scrimmage with Northeast High School and Boys’ Latin Charter, according to NBC 10.
A 14-year-old boy who was rushed to Einstein Medical Center after being shot in the chest and died soon after.
A 17-year-old shot four times was taken to a local hospital in stable condition as was another 14-year-old who was shot in the leg.
Another victim was grazed by a bullet and a fourth was hospitalized with an unknown condition.
No arrests have been made and no other information was made available.
