4 restaurants closed due to sewage issues, roach infestation in Plano health inspections
A roach infestation, sewage backup and plumbing issues, and other violations led to four restaurants being closed in the latest Plano inspections, according to city data.
There were 184 inspections from May 28 to June 24.
Plano inspections are based on a 100-point system. A score of 100 is perfect and a score of 70 is considered to be extremely poor. Each establishment receives between one and four routine inspections per year.
Chinese BBQ at 2001 Coit Road Suite 305 received a 91 but was closed due to a severe roach infestation. The restaurant failed its first follow-up, but passed its second follow-up.
Jimmy’s Burger at 6300 Independence Parkway Suite C received a 79 and was closed due to sewage and plumbing issues, but was able to reopen after its follow-up inspection.
Rannaghar Foods And Sweets at 2040 W. Spring Creek Parkway Suite 136 is closed until hot water is restored.
Chinese BBQ, Jimmy’s Burger, and Rannaghar Foods and Sweets were the only three that had two follow-ups out of 15 establishments that had follow-up inspections.
Tacos y Tortas La Tia Irma at 3600 14th St. received an 89 and was closed because the restaurant could not provide hot or cold water due to a leak.
